The Ely Centre is kicking off its autumn calendar of activity with a host of new courses for victims and survivors of the troubles. People will have the opportunity to learn new skills and improve their employment prospects with a variety of educational and vocational training programmes on offer thanks to funding received from The Community Relations Council. Courses include; HGV and forklift operation and driving, driving licence theory, energy assessors course, Essential Skills (mathematics and english) training, NVQ motor vehicle repair and maintenance, business start up programme, and basic first aid. Mr Lee McDowell, Ely Centre Coordinator, said: “We’re extremely grateful to The Community Relations Council for funding such a diverse range of educational and vocational training programmes. “The programmes on offer will provide people with real skills to improve their employability and help them enter or return to the workplace.” To find out more please contact The Ely Centre on 028 6632 0977. |
